Paul O’Donovan

Originally from the U.K., Paul moved to New Zealand in 2010 to start a new life and begin a family. With over 20 years in agency recruitment, Paul has joined Consult to lead the IT and Digital Recruitment team nationwide. Focused on expanding Consult’s reach into the Wellington and Christchurch regions, Paul is passionate about growing teams and delivering quality recruitment outcomes for clients.

Based in our brand-new Christchurch office, but frequently travelling to Auckland and Wellington, Paul is committed to partnering with organisations nationally and leveraging the power and reputation of the Consult brand. Recruitment is a people-focused business, and Paul is happiest when discussing team resourcing strategies with hiring managers over a great cup of coffee.

In his spare time, Paul supports his children’s extracurricular activities through coaching, providing lifts, and cheering from the sidelines. Maintaining his fitness is important to him, especially when called upon to fill in for a Saturday afternoon football game—often against opponents many years his junior.
