We are seeking a Security Architect with deep expertise in data security and application security. This 6-month contract role, based in Auckland, will focus on designing and implementing security solutions from a data-driven perspective. You will play a crucial role in ensuring security architecture aligns with business objectives while protecting sensitive data across applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement security architectures with a strong focus on data security across applications.
• Assess, design, and enhance security controls, ensuring compliance with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into application development and data handling.
• Provide technical leadership in securing cloud and on-premise environments, ensuring robust identity and access management.
• Conduct risk assessments and security reviews to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Security Architect, with expertise in data security and application security.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks, encryption, and data protection strategies.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM solutions, security automation, and threat detection.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, or AWS Security Specialty) are highly desirable.
