Some More Information About The Role
The Financial Planning Analyst is a key commercial role here in New Zealand. Supporting the Financial Controller, you will be a business partner to the wider organisation by building strong working relationships with other functions, understanding their needs, and providing support as appropriate.
Some of the main responsibilities of the role include:
- Manage, collate and submit the Annual Operating Plan and Long-Range Plan
- Prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts and manage the forecasting process
- Consolidate and distribute revenue flash results during and after month end
- Compile, report and submit Month End results
- Discuss variances and accounting issues with the finance team
- Management reporting and analysis, including preparation of analyses for the monthly and quarterly business review.
So Who Are You & What Is Your Profile?
We are looking for a commercially minded accountant with advanced analytical skills. Above all, you will be curious, analytical and someone who can build relationships with every part of an organisation. You will need to be CA/CPA qualified to be considered for this role with at least 5 years experience under your belt working in commercially focused roles, ideally in the manufacturing sector.
You will need to have Advanced MS Excel skills, experience using Modelling and Forecasting tools and some exposure to Power BI would be a real advantage. Manufacturing industry experience and an understanding of standard costing systems would also be highly desirable. This is a key role in the organisation so your ability to manage multiple senior stakeholders will be important. Your ability to present financial results and insights to global leaders will also be important so excellent verbal and written presentation skills are needed in this role. This role is suitable for someone who is genuinely excited by the prospect of joining a business who value their people.
