About the Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role plays a key part in financial operations across the whole business. You'll oversee key accounting functions, drive compliance, and provide valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. With a strong focus on efficiency and continuous improvement, this is an excellent opportunity to make an impact in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency (there is an Accounts Assistant as support).
- Manage GST, FBT, and other tax reconciliations, ensuring full compliance.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including intercompany transactions and accruals.
- Assist with monthly reporting, financial analysis, and cost-to-come calculations.
- Support ongoing process improvements, enhancing financial systems and reporting.
- CA/CPA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 2 years of post-qualification experience.
- Technically strong with a solid understanding of financial reporting and compliance from the ground up.
- A proactive problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Detail-oriented, highly organised, and confident working in a small, dynamic team.
- Effective communicator with the ability to engage with stakeholders across the business.
- Experience in property or project accounting would be an advantage.
