Following the acquisition of a loyalty marketing company into one of NZ’s most highly regarded enterprise fin services environments, we are looking for a technically competent individual to design and deliver the data integrations between the two entities.
  
We need someone who can operate at the data architect level (ideally with knowledge of Google Cloud Platform) to work with the business to design and deliver the initial integration work, and then remain on to help design the future state product.
  
Job Purpose:
To lead the data stream across both integrations of the new entity and to support the loyalty offering program. The role involves both hands-on technical expertise, similar to that of a data architect, along with project management capabilities to drive the delivery of the integration program. Supported by a BA and specialist resources such as engineers, data scientists, and security specialists you will need to support integration efforts.

• Lead the data integration activity for the newly acquired company, ensuring alignment with governance requirements and business goals.
• Act as the data lead, representing the Data Strategy and AI team in cross-functional program meetings and decision-making.
• Collaborate with your Business Analyst to gather, refine, and translate business requirements into data solutions.
• Drive the delivery of data tasks and ensure they meet program timelines and quality expectations.
• Develop and maintain a roadmap for future data capabilities and features to support the integration of the newly acquired organization.
• Oversee data migration and system architecture decisions to optimise for scalability and maintainability.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment across the organisation.
• Support project risk management by identifying potential roadblocks and developing mitigation plans.
• Stay up to date on best practices in data integration and contribute to continuous improvement in processes and technology.
• Provide up-to-date progress updates to key stakeholders including the EM Data Strategy and AI.

  
Required Experience:
  
Industry and/or field experience

• Proven experience in data integration or data architecture roles, with a track record of successful delivery in large-scale projects.
• Strong project management skills, with experience in leading complex data initiatives.

Experience and skills we would prefer you have:
  
Technical Capabilities

• Technical expertise in data architecture, data migration, ETL processes, and data governance
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS Cloud Platform)
