About the Role:
Our client is hiring a Data Governance Specialist for a 3-month contract to lead key projects. These include running a Proof of Concept for a Data Governance tool, developing data quality scorecards, documenting data lineage, setting up stewardship roles, sharing governance policies, and initiating data classification activities. They are seeking someone with strong expertise in data governance frameworks, data quality management, and business engagement to ensure successful implementation across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the PoC for a Data Governance tool and provide implementation recommendations.
- Develop data quality scorecards with performance KPIs.
- Formalize and train data stewards across departments.
- Document and present data lineage for key business assets.
- Communicate and enforce data governance policies and procedures.
- Extensive experience in data governance and data management frameworks.
- Hands-on expertise with data governance tools such as Snowflake Horizon or similar.
- Strong understanding of data lineage, quality metrics, and classification principles.
- Familiarity with data protection regulations and security standards.
- Excellent documentation and stakeholder management skills
