About the Role:
This key role involves overseeing the transition of EVPN-VXLAN networks from Juniper to Cisco platforms. You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth network operations during the migration, working directly with technical teams and data centres to drive success in this crucial infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the transition of EVPN-VXLAN infrastructure from Juniper to Cisco.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in BGP EVPN control planes.
- Engage with teams at Auckland and Hamilton data centres to facilitate deployment.
- Ensure network reliability through after-hours support as needed.
- Configure and manage security systems using PaloAlto and Fortinet technologies.
- In-depth understanding of EVPN and VXLAN frameworks.
- Advanced expertise in routing and switching across multiple platforms.
- Proficiency in Juniper (Junos OS) and Cisco environments, especially with EVPN-VXLAN.
- Experience with firewall technologies, particularly PaloAlto and Fortinet; familiarity with Prisma Access is beneficial.
- Proven track record in similar high-impact/enterprise network engineering roles.
