Commercial & Operations Manager

As part of their next stage of growth they are seeking a driven and experienced Commercial & Operations Manager, (COM) to lead their commercial and operational functions and to play a pivotal role in their continued success.

About the Role:
As the COM, you'll be the bridge between commercial strategy and operational execution and ensure the seamless co-ordination between suppliers, logistics, and customers. You'll drive business growth, optimise profitability, and ensure their imported products meet the highest standards of quality and customer service . Your expertise will be instrumental in achieving Reso’s strategic goals and maintaining their commitment to excellence.
What You'll Do:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth, enhance operational efficiency, and capitalise on market opportunities. Collaborate with the Managing Director (MD)Â to translate the company's 5-Year Strategy into actionable steps.
- Commercial Focus: Drive revenue growth, conduct market analysis, develop pricing strategies, and build a strong commercial mindset across the business.
- Lead the Warehousing, Purchasing and Customer support teams.
- Financial Oversight: Manage financial performance, develop budgets, oversee risk management, and provide strategic financial decision-making.
- Operational Management: Streamline operations, reduce costs, boost productivity, and ensure a robust and efficient supply chain.
- Risk Management: Establish and implement risk management frameworks, mitigate potential risks, and ensure compliance.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Provide clear safety leadership, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a safe working environment.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, logistics providers, and other key stakeholders.

We are looking for:
- A relevant business-related tertiary qualification (B.Com, MBA, BBS, or similar).
- Solid experience in the FMCG or Foodservice sector
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the industry, with at least 10 years in senior commercial and management roles.
- Proven track record of success in commercial strategy development, business development, and revenue optimisation.
- Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interpret laws and regulations, manage contracts, and oversee financial operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
