The Role
This role is perfect for someone with strong industry knowledge, technical acumen, and business development skills. You’ll be responsible for developing sales strategies, identifying key market opportunities, and working with industry stakeholders to drive business growth. Your expertise in both technical solutions and commercial negotiations will be instrumental in expanding the business’s presence in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue and market share
- Identify and engage key clients, including utilities, developers, and EPCs
- Build strong client relationships and manage the full sales cycle
- Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competition
- Provide technical insights on solar and BESS solutions
- Work with engineering teams to tailor solutions for clients
- Prepare tailored proposals, quotes, and contracts
- Ensure compliance with legal and industry regulations
- Collaborate with internal teams for smooth project execution
- Track progress, manage client expectations, and maintain CRM records
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and market insights
- 5 years in B2B sales, ideally within renewable energy, solar PV, or BESS
- Strong understanding of solar power systems, battery storage, and energy market trends
- Excellent communication, relationship building, and negotiation skills
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a similar role
- Ability to travel nationwide is essential
